Hello
Starting in 2005, I realized I wanted to help individuals gain a better understanding of how their life experiences affected their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I chose to continue my education and began a career as a psychotherapist.
Best. Decision. Ever!
With years of experience, I have been able to hone my skills to support others' efforts towards change and help them heal. When introduced to EMDR I knew I had found a technique that would further my clients' goals and provide relief in an efficient and effective manner; a general departure from standard "talk" therapy.
As an EMDR Certified Therapist, I have incorporated EMDR into work with each of my clients; targeting core beliefs, specific situations, patterns of behavior, or painful life experiences.
I am honored my clients trust me with their pain and healing. I provide a non-judgmental and compassionate environment to learn and grow. My style is warm and relaxed, while providing the necessary structure to keep moving forward.
In my free time, I follow my husband and teenage son around to basketball...everything. I enjoy reading, Lego, Disney, and Harry Potter. I spend a lot of time with my coworkers, Binx and Belle, who closely monitor and assess my work on a regular basis. I also love genealogy (amitylinealogy.com)!
